Here's a guy who's around here all the time, is pushing 400 posts and tells jokes. No handle.

I think we can assume he is a retired police officer. I know he owns a tanning salon. ( ;) )

Need a handle.

You are welcome to contribute, John. :D

We started this a while ago. The handle shouldn't have anything to do with the tanning salon if I recall. :)

John Law?

Naaaa, still too many Johns.

Da Sheriff?

We already got plenty Tile Police, and a Tile Ranger.

Mmmmm.

Mmmmmmmm.

Well, he lists hisownself as "Retired", but Da Retard (Texas pronounciation):) don't sound too good. :D

And he's real helpful with the computer Qs, but that don't make nothin' spring to mind.

Somebody'll think of somethin'. :)

I've been too busy the past couple of days to try to keep track of you and look what y’all go and do!

I have a few preferences about what not to be called. No deputy please... Real police don't wear brown!

I'm a fair marksman, (my last name is Shotwell -- Isn't that a good name for a Police Officer --- No I NEVER heard anybody say that!) :D

I have a BS degree in Zoology. I flunked French twice in college but excelled at brail anatomy. I minored in animal behaviour (the U is for U Sonnie). Then joined the State Police and stayed for 27 years.

I was drafted into the Army seven days after I graduated from State Police Recruit School. Spent my time stateside as a correctional specialist at Ft. Sill. Made E-5 before I got an early out to go back to police work.

I worked the road for about 10 years then got into supervision. Of all the tickets I wrote while on the road, only a handful plead not guilty. I taught Motor Vehicle Code to recruits for 5 years, and did legislative analysis for traffic related issues. I've done a bit of public relations work for safety belts and against drunk driving. My last position was with the Emergency Management Division, in charge of the Operations and Planning Section.

My dad was a Science Teacher in Detroit Public Schools. I love to tinker with electrical work, computers and software. I've built six computers from parts. My wife is a university administrator and tenured professor. She's originally from Alabama - Roll Tide.

I rarely hire anyone to do construction or remodeling jobs. When I have, I've often been disappointed by their workmanship.

I voted for a Democrat for Governor, and a Republican for Congress. I go with whom ever I think will do a better job (I'd probably vote libertarian, CX, if any of them stood a chance of winning.) I was a lay minister before I got divorced the first time. Now I guess I'm sort of a spiritual agnostic.

I like baseball, football, and hockey. And with the notable exception of the Red Wings, my teams have all been loosing lately. I can't remember when the Lions had a good season.

I'm not a poet, or a musician, and the onliest thing I can cook well is Chili. I used to fish but I won't tell you that or you'll start calling me a Master Baiter.

I'm always in search of perfection. I know enough about most things to realize when I'm in trouble. If I weren’t a retired officer, I’d probably have a zillion points on my license. I don’t drive half fast.

Hey that’s an Idea:

“Knows enough to realize when he’s in trouble!”

That's a pretty impressive bio, John.

Lots of possibilities. I'll wait a while and see what else is offered. ;)

I was thinking more along the lines of Official Trouper. At least in TX, you have to be well educated to be a trouper. Last I checked that wasn't a credential necessary to be a C of P. that's more politics, but If it were a publicly elected office, JT would get my vote.

If for no other reason than I'd wanna be able to say I sucked up so maybe I'd get a lighter sentence :) BTW, JT, a great resume. You need a job??? :)

I don't think he's really interested in guarding your truck Sonnie. ;)

tileguytodd
12-05-2002, 04:00 PM
He wont have time to gaurd your truck sonnie. He 'll be too busy doing detective work trying to figure out who that phony tileranger character is :D
