I intend on laying tile in my bathroom, The joists meet the deflection requirements, however they are on 24" centers. The subfloor is 5/8" ply, the underlayment I have ripped up. My thought is to use Ditra for the first time, however the Ditra website calls for a min of 3/4" subfloor, along with a min of 3/8" underlayment.
Can I get by leaving my subfloor in place and using Sturdi-I-Floor T&G 3/4" for my underlayment?

If no, any suggestions on how to remove a subfloor where the joist along one of the walls is inaccessable(I'd have to butt the subfloor in dead air)

Hi Chris, you can add another layer of 5/8" ply and be fine. If you want to go extra add 3/4" instead.
