Hello,
My name is Art Phenis and I represent a tile setting products manufacturer in the South east.
I am new to your forum and am quite impressed with the proffesionalism evidenced here.
I hope to be a contributing member of this forum and promise to keep my input generic.
As I'm sure you are all aware, no one has re-invented the wheel when it comes to setting tile and stone. So I am a big advocate of cement to cement installations.
When waterproffing is needed there are products out there that work well with multi-purpose or latex modified thin sets.
I was not an installer, but I have listened to installers, helpers, retailers and wholesalers for the last 8 years and found the industry as a whole, to be lacking in common sense in regards to standards for the installation of tile and stone. So many corners are cut to save a dime.
I honestly look forward to learning from all of you and hopefully will be able to make some constructive contributions to this forum.
My email address is bonsalartp@aol.com.
Best regards,
Art Phenis
