View Full Version : hairline cracks in grout

I just tiled my entryway and have hairline cracks in the grout. The cracks seem to be right next to the edge of a tile. Was there too much/not enough water in the grout? Could humidity have played a part in this? And, most important, how do i fix it? Thanks for any advise. Julie

Generally cracks are a sign of movement. In this case too much water could be a suspect also. The least expensive fix at this point is to regrout over whats there to fill the cracks. If the cracks appear again then movement could be the problem, and there may be no quick fix for that.
Let us know.
