Was used by a client on a travertine floor ............ they loved the "honey tone" look the product imparted ........ subsequently, they have noticed that varnish element of the product has been attracting too much dirt and getting gummed up in the heavier traffic areas ........... the listed solvent for the product is TOLUOL (nasty stuff indoors) ........... to refinish, would you .....

1. Use toluol, in a well-ventilated area, to remove all of the surface component of the product?
2. Remove the surface component with a rotary machine and steel wool ?
3. "" "" "" """"" "" "" "" " "" "" "" sanding discs ?

Thanks in advance,

I think these new strippers, allow you to just apply it with a brush, do a little agitation, and wet vac it up,Johnny.I think Stonetech has one, and aquamix,i can't find my handydandy link though.I think a buffer would just gum up quickly and be a disaster, the strippers lift it right out of the stone,so it's easy to scrape right off. Here's one,i think...http://www.aquamix.com/for_professionals/surface_finder/surface_finder_detail.asp?sfid=9624

Thanks, Dave. Finishing and re-finishing is rarely my thing.

I'm on the Cape, btw.
