I was trying to clean the dirty grout in my ceramic tile floor and it ended up stripping the shine off the some of the tiles. The tiles had a nice glossy look and now it's dull. Anything I can do to restore it?

Hissyfit eh? You ain't gonna have one on me now I hope ;)
Need to know a couple things like:
What did you use for a cleaner? And tell us a little more about the tile. Is it glazed and was there anything in the way of a topical coating applied on those tiles providing the shine in the first place?
I'm also assuming that once the tiles were dry you tried to wipe off any residual haze remaining from the cleaning.

I used just a regular household spray cleaner that had bleach in it. I wasn't even thinking when I did it. The tile is just ceramic with what looks like a gloss coating on it. It's shiny and feels somewhat smooth. That's really all I know. The bleach also made a bleach stain on it too. This is in a very large kitchen and the lack of shine in the area is really noticeable. I feel like such an idiot.

The name is Misty. The tile I don't know a lot about. Only it is ceramic, it has a gloss kind of coating on it that makes it shiny - waxy looking. The cleaner was a regular household spray cleaner with bleach. Any help would be appreciated. It's a large kitchen and the spot looks awful. It also made a bleach stain.

Are you absolutely sure that tile is ceramic and not a natural stone like travertine or marble?
I'll move you over to the Cleaning and Restoration forum where the gurus of clean are located. They'll do a better job than me getting you headed down the right path.
Heads up hissyfit. They are going to be asking for a real first name now. So you have a few minutes to make one up...easygoingpleasedtomeetya outta wurk. :D

Hi Misty, Welcome! :)
I took the liberty to merge your threads together. It gets too confusing to have multiple threads with the same topic.
Can you post a picture? :shades:

Did it haze or do you see uneven areas like chunks of the surface came off?
Ran across similar problem where homeowner used a topical sealer. It was a topical finish. Surprised it adhered to the surface over the years.
