Howdy,

Can you tell I have been drinking all morning? Actually, I sell the beans - so you can say I am drinking up my profits.

Now that I am in the process of re-sealing my tub.... it grout a better sealer than caulk? My goal is: never seal again, easy maintenance and cleaning.

Thank you for your help.

Tom

Some people like being a grout law (grout in the joints)

personally I use caulk and charge for it

Diego,

Personally I try to be a "grin" law ... and keep it simple by using caulk. So, I caulked the tub waited 24 hours and showered away for two days.

Then the tub diverter pushbutton thingy broke and shot out of the housing like a torpedo!! Obviously not wanting to spend $300 - $500 to R&R the tile and replace the faucet assembly - I called Delta.

Their guy walked me through the fix and tried to send me a $18 replacement part. When it didn't come, I discovered it was back ordered - and low and behold - found the very same OEM part locally for $11.57 !! So I called Delta, they credited my credit card and said keep the part !

They had also send me a (wrong model) handle cap - now I have an extra diverter (last one made it about 20 years) and an oversized handle cap.

Thanks to you and the others for the input.

Enjoy your day, the only better alternative is walking through the pearly gates to live with the King.
