The grout on my my KERDI shower has cured and I'm ready to seal it. I'm confused b/c John Bridge article on the web states the following: "In new showers, the floor can be sealed along with the walls, but never use an old fashioned sealer on a shower floor. The floor needs to 'breathe'."

What is an old fashion sealer? What sealer is recommended for both walls and floor on a KERDI shower?

Any help will be appreciated

I used a porcelain tile

thanks

Joe

Hi Too', got a first name we can use?
I'm going to move your thread over the cleaning/restoration/sealing forum where it will get the right kind of responses.
Maybe you can get us started by telling us what kind of tile or stone you have there. :)

Hi there,

I don't know what JB referred to but old fashoined sealers were ones that stay on the material rather than penetrating to just below the surface.

Best regards,
