Tryed searching but couldn't find anything.
Is there a product capable of being injected behind a tile and grout wall. Have an 18 1/2 inch square area along tub that has came loose from wall board. Any method other than remove and replace?
Thanks
George
It is remove and replace.

Hi George :)
Could you be a little more descript on the tile that is coming loose. By wallboard, do you mean drywall or a cement board?
How loose is it? Is the grout cracked?
There are various epoxies available with different viscosity properties. I have only performed this type of repair on floors, and not walls. I think if the tile is totally loose, I would want to remove it and see whats going on behind it.

Just no way to tell. Not enough slack to see behind the tile. Grout is split at seam in corner going up the wall 8" to 10" with about 1/4" of play.
Unvented shower area and the mildew is literally everywhere. Most likely behind tiles also.

Sounds like a remove/replace to me. I'd want to know what's behind the tile. What's on the front sounds bad enough. If you do nees a total replacement, you already know where to come for help!

Not me. Unless I've had some hands on training. Will clean up the mildew and help her find an installer (that may take a while around here). Touching up the grout is one thing, replacing tiles is another.

Hi George :)
Now that you've given a better description, how about a picture? :shades:
Sounds like a redo to me.

Cleaning job is not booked yet. Was gathering info on repair part before submitting bid. Will take pictures for actual before and after cleaning results, if they accept.
Think of the whole wall behind the faucets as a molded piece instead of tiles and grout. It's like one corner has come unglued. The grout is the only thing holding the tiles together and keep the area from breaking away from the remainder of the wall.

Cleaned with limited success. Decided to scrape a few dark grout lines to see if the dark areas were superficial. Turns out almost all the areas were cracked and split. Customer is looking to replace the entire area after seeing the damage.

Yep, sounds like good advice.
Need to also recommend pursuing adequate ventilation this next time.
