Yeah, the WFF is having trouble, and i don't think they'll survive, but this orginizaton i think will.I think boxing got so blatantly corrupt it was doomed.Anyone who watched any HBO matches at all were disgusted i think.I know i was,it was a joke.Thai kickboxing never caught on here, which i think is the close to this style, but Muay Thai is maybe a little closer. That English guy,i can't remember his name, what an animal. And Gracey thoroughly got whooped, the days of single style fighting is over, you have to be a master at numerous styles especially grappling, Judo, wrestling types.

Now where talkin. I love the stuff, I think shamrock is a bit ripened. In his day he was the man along with the Gracey's.
Boxing is a joke compared to a full submission brawl. I just don't watch it unless it's free, I never have and never will pay per view.
We occasionally have sanctioned match's in town.
A distant friend competes (note the word DISTANT) :)

I was talkin about the Jim Corbett,John Sullivan match. :D.....This is a terribly brutal sport, no doubt, and i don't think society will let it stand as it is,some matches are terribly mismatched. My second son's girfriend's brother has fought, don't know which org.,done pretty well, judging by his cauliflower ears. :tup1:

Remember Chuck Weppner "The Bayonne Bleeder"? Anytime Ali needed a tune up he beat the shit out of Weppner. I met him in a bar once and he said for $100,000 He would wear a sign that said punch me. One shot and he would bleed all over the place. Easiest money he ever made. :D

Yeah, a lot of people don't know he's the inspiration for Stallones Rocky movie. That was a brutal fight, he never went down though.Don't know if that was good or bad. :D

There is nothing like UFC.. BUT........... I am starting to believe Shamrock is just used as a punching bag. Look how fast the fight was stopped with Tito?? Ken came out swinging, and then started getting elbows and wasnt even trying to defend himself. The same thing with Rich Franklin before he coached season 2 of Ultimate fighter. Ken slipped and Franklin started raining down fists, with no defense by Ken.. Hmmmmmmmmmmmm.
