Hey all of you Corporate types out there here is a sponsorship opportunity you don't want to miss out on.

August 19th in Seattle will be the 2nd annual John Bridge Forum "Seafood Fest in the West"

This annual event is well attended by influential users of your products here in the Northwest. In addition to the Mudmister himself there will be at least three of the Moderators from the JB Forum in attendence.

Not just any old hole in one contest you can be the lead sponsor for the beer cap in the cup competion. Other fun and exciting events will be planned to reward participants any and all swag that you are willing to provide.

I look forward to your sponsorship of this event and hearing from you soon.

Thank you
Jerry Nebel
aka Jerry The Tile Guy
Seattle, WA.

Jerry, I'm glad you set a date. Had me on pins and needles there for a while. :D

In addition to coporate "swag," we'll need RSVPs from folks who plan to attend. The location is Ballard, up on the bluff above Golden Gardens (beach).

Jerry,

We may actually be able to come. You're a-scared now huh? :lol2:

I'll PM you as we'll need some idea where we are going. Coming up from Portland.

Mmmm. Is this considered reverse spam?

Does that automatically make it a good thing, even if nobody responds? :D

So, are we really looking to invite some corporate sponsors??? At an NTCA event just the other night, I learned that the local rep for one of the major materials manufacturers lives literally just around the corner from me. Seems like a nice enough guy. Do I extend an invitation conditional on his bringing schwag and prizes??? :D

I was telling Patti about the notice going out to the Corp's for swaqg and she suggested that we lean on one of them for the backing to make custom t-shirts. Great idea I thought. We can do a great design and I'm sure find room for the logo or any and all who want to see their name on a garmet.

Shaughnn sure the rep's are invited.

Shaughnn;

That wouldn't be Rob McCall would it? If it is, call him Junior. Also, ask him if he has caught THIS house on fire.

Mark,
Yes, that would be Rob. And I don't intend to bring up anybody's "horrible past" as that sort of behavior has a way of coming back to haunt you. :D
Jerry,
It may JUST be enough time for a t-shirt run off. Nearly every corporation has "co-op advertising" as part of their broader advertising strategy/budget. I've got a drawer full of Stabila t-shirts with hardware store advertising on the other side, from exactly this program.
Mark,
Who would we contact about such an opportunity??? :D

Talk to Rob. He'll be able to work his way through sales management to get it done.

Mark, we want Miss Makita and Senorita Makita, too. We'll settle for nothing less. Send those two and we won't hit you up for any swag. ('Cept maybe some small stuff, you know, key chains, some of those cute little pocket knives, and stuff like that.) :)

Um, John, my t-shirt wardrobe is still missing a "Makita short-sleeve" Please don't slam the barn door until ALL of the cows have come home.

Because you are professional contractors, I might be able to see my way to contributing some small swagg to the cause. Maybe a recip saw blade or a chuck wrench. :)

The Makita girls have already heard about this group and said no. Something about trailers and owls did it.

Trailers and owls? Heck, CX isn't even in the mix. He never goes further north than about x-degrees north of El Paso. :D

Tell those young ladies we are all very tame (and married) fellas.

. . . and get 'em over to Ballard on the 19th. Around noon before our wives show up. :D

Usually it is not their reputation that proceeds these guys. :D

So what's wrong with trailers and owls?

I take them Makita girls out and show'em how to mouse a spotted owl and they'd be followin' me around like puppy dogs. :shades:

And only reason Mark don't want them to see my trailer is on accounta then they'd know I had more Makita tools than he gots. :D

Unfortunately, though, the part about bein' harmless applies too well. :crap:Usually it is not their reputation that proceeds these guys. I'm tryin' to figger out if that's a misspelling or if Jerry done made a joke that went waaay over my head. :shake:
