I'm in! Just have to get my clubs out of hock. Any chance you guys could help me out? The shafts are genuine Birch and have been in my family ever since my great-grandfather got in a Poker game with some guy named Jones. Probably not his real name.

Sorry Steven. I'll have to put the dampers on this straight away. I've never had time to play golf (plus I never moved in the right circles, I guess.)
Now if you re-name it the Art Phenis Southern Florida Open? Everybody knows salesmen don't have a lot to do anyway. I'll betcha Arts sticks are made out of some high-tech alloy . . . .

Where do you get alloy trees? JC is building houses out of Balsa that sounds like sturdy material for club shafts.

You guys better leave this one lay right where you found it or Jim will be telling you how his grandfather grew the birch trees that made the sticks that.........
Oh no that was Arts grandfather that grew the birch trees that were used to make..........
I'm confused again. Are Jim and Art related they have the same first name?

Hey, I've been on the golf course twice in my life and I ain't sceered o nothin'.
First time I just drove the cart around while my bosses made some final agreements on a national cake sales contract. That was oh... about 22 years ago.
The second time was just about a year ago when I was invited by a new friend to actually learn the sport, he was worthy of teaching I must say. I was so proud when the third hit at a practice tee I hit a 30 yard putt with two swales interfering. Didn't do too bad with the drive, and actually hit the green from an intended sand trap on the first try. It was exhilerating but my back was really sore the next day, as we spent an hour or so on the driving range.
Haven't been back, but as I said, I ain't sceered. I can drive the hell out of those carts and mix drinks no one will remember at the 9th. Hey John, isn't there a putt putt course nearby?
Excuse me gentlemen, I hope my way ward ball didn't interupt your intended convergence on the integrity of those in the profession of selling products to the trades.
coincidentally, for the 1st time since the last week in April, I am playing golf with customers and my boss today.
Hey, it's a tough job. But I will sacrifice my body and soul for the good of the "INDUSTRY"!
Now if you will excuse me.
May I play through?
Thank you, and keep on hitting em' straight!!
