I use a tool bucket. I have a bucket bra strewn over it. Its all stretched out.
Ive been using this same pocketed setup for over 10 years no changes.
I had a helper buy one. Mine hangs to the floor, his about half way up the bucket. I really got a good laugh when he sat his tool bucket next to mine
and says "look,.. mine is just a training bra" :yeah:

cx
03-18-2006, 09:02 PM
Yeah, I been using those bucket bras for many years. Never heard'em called that, though.

The Bucket Boss brand has lasted better than others. And no training bras, neither. :D

Buckets are the way to go. Have one for the tools, one for sponges, and 2 for trowels and floats. Tried a tool bag once, and ended up not being able to get to anything without emptying the entire thing. Especially out of the pockets.

rspainhower
03-20-2006, 10:24 AM
Yeah a lot of people don't like the tool bag. I like it though. I have a truck box on my truck and it is full of misc tools as well. I like the tool bags just have never bought one maybe soon. I was laughing at a friend of mine because his pro knees look like little babies compared to mine and my brothers (I am 6' and my brother is 6'4")

I do the same thing Levi. I have a bucket for my main/everyday tools,a bucket with mud-tools,a bucket with grout stuff,a bucket for stone stuff, and several small buckets for horseshoe spacers.

When I was union....it was about 50-50,as far as mechanics using buckets/bags. I was brought up on buckets,so I guess I'll stick with em lol.

Rich,
About the only time I see a guy with bags anymore out here is when he's first turned out. It's so cute when an apprentice gets his wings. A sure sign that Spring is on it's way. :D
Everybody else uses buckets and the craggy vet'rans just take their tools in whatever container the helper brings them from the truck in. :D Helper cleans 'em and puts 'em away too. Only times I've had a helper like that, some sum'bitch comes along and steals 'im away from me. :complain:

Hannah turned 11 months old on Thursday. Three teeth now and another coming in. She's walked across the kitchen floor already and you can see the gears turning in her head as she wieghs all of her new options. And she's a "gabber" alright! She "talks" all the time, usually with great big sweeping arm gestures, punctuated by laughter. Sara accuses me of having given that to her. I blame my Italian ancestry.

11 MONTHS!!!!? Oh man, i'm gettin old!Hey be advised when they are trying to walk they love to have you as a base..then they take a step or two, and fall back on you..then it's one or two steps, and they run back and hold on to ya.I didn't realize it till the second or third one, but then i caught on and had fun watching them learning to walk,i was their base....(sittin on the couch)It's painful to watch young parents trying to get them to walk, the kids are teriffied and they usually just sit down, and the parents can't figure it out. Also, a little tempting treat held by one parent on the other side of the room is a big enticement. My older son when he was teething loved to suck on sweet pickles, we'd find their dried carcasses behind the couch.I could go on and on like a granny i better shut up. :(

Shaughnn
07-16-2006, 08:12 PM
Dave,
She's running now and only falls down when she's ready for a nap,...mostly. One of her favirite games is "chasing Daddy" and I get the impression that she'll figure out how to get Daddy to chase her in the very near future. I'm certain that there must be another father out there who is as proud as I am of my little girl, but I think it might be difficult to equal the feeling I get when I she wakes up and grows a great big smile when she sees me. The arms around my neck as she pats my back are a close second. :king:

David, great pitchers!!! What, y'all got married at age 8?? You look so young. It's amazing to look at the pitcher of your lovely wife when you were (I assume) dating and then the one with you and your daughter. They look so alike. :)

And what JB said about a name...check out the User CP thingy top left. You can add a signature line that will show in each of your posts so we "know who you are". :D

She's small compared to my male mastiff.

My male is still a pup, only 9 months old.. he's got about 30 lbs on her.. but not the 'height' on two legs yet. I'll get some new pics of both of them. =)

Just an FYI, Brian, my males father was 270lbs. He's 9 months old weighs approx 135lbs already. LOL. My female only weighs 105, she's 17 months old. BTW -- I'm 6' 0" to give you an idea of how big she is. ;)

-- About my hands.. thats normal, I dont ever wear gloves. In the winter up here, my hands get REAL jacked up from not wearing gloves, cold weather, real cold water, cleaning buckets outside, etc.. but that makes them tougher :)

Wow! Good lookin' boys there Lati. Might be the reverse down the road aways - you'll be chasin' all the girls off your doorstep. :D

Beautiful. Send them to college. Don't let them fall into the tile trap. :D

Oakview: I'll never chase girls off my doorstep :-)
John Bridge: the question is if the tile trap makes enough $ for college....

You won't make enough, but there are student loans you can co-sign. :)

Here are a couple pics of my daughter-in-law, Julie. The pics were taken in the tulip fields near Mount Vernon, Washington. Real post card stuff.

Edit: Felt bad about not posting a pic of my son John, her husband. He's a senior project manager for T-Mobil in Bellevue, Wa. :)
