View Full Version : Man must accessorize
So I took a piece of matching blue pearl granite tile, bullnosed the front and flat polished the rest of the sides. Then I surgically removed the nails from a set of hard plastic furniture glides and kemi'd them to the bottom corners. This is a base for our coffeemaker. It isolates the countertop itself from potential problems caused by the device and slides around with the lightest touch. It looks very cool too.

Gonna have to post a picher now Don. :)
I'll post the pitchers in my project thread when I'm done with the countertops. I'm still finishing up the backsplash baseboards now.

Do you really want a coffemaker that slides around at the slightest touch? How do you keep it still to put the pot back? Enquiring minds, and all...:D
All things are relative Bob. It's not like you can blow on a 7 pound piece of granite and expect it to skate across the counter. The pressure of a single finger, yes. That will easily slide it back under the cabinet where it spends off-duty time.
