Hi
I made a cut in my 1/2 inch hardi wrong around my window in my bath surround just below my sill. The gap is close to 3/8 inches between the piece that sits on top of the sill and the wall piece below the window. Tile will extend to the sill and above to end at the ceiling.
My question: is this gap too large to fill with thinset and tape? Should I forget about filling this gap and start over making a new piece with a smaller opening or would I just be wasting material? I just don't want to have a bad spot that will give me trouble in the future, it just seems too big to me.
Thank for any replies
Joe
