In reading John's book last night he states that there are 2 different thinsets - white for walls and grey for floors. What is the difference? Can I use white for both the floor and walls? The thinset I bought is Versabond made by Custom.

How do.
Yep you sure can.As a matter of fact I use white thinset most of the time.It won't "bleed" into the grout like standard gray can, especially if the grout is light in color.Whichever you use get latex modified or a latex liquid additive.Other than color there is no difference.

Like keith, I use white most of the time. I use gray only when installing cement board, Ditra, or when I am going to use a dark grout.
