'morning folks,
thought i'd run out of questions on this project, but i'm back with more :stick: ! thanks for your patience and guidance.
it's almost time to seal the grout in the tub/shower surround; the tile is 2x2 glazed porcelain mosaic Dal-Tile Klondike White, grouted with custom product's polyblend.
we'll be ordering Impregantor or Bulletproof from TYW on-line store, but want to be sure which is the appropriate product.
have indeed read over many posts for the answer ... learned a lot about sealers but still have a question.
i understand the glazed porcelain tile needn't be sealed.
however, i also notice that we've got 55sf worth of 2x2 mosaic grout lines to seal ... it would be so much easier (i would think) to cover the whole surface even though glazed procelain tiles don't require sealing. seems like a load of work to hit only the grout lines between the 2x2 tiles ...
i know it's a waste of sealing product to apply overall; at this point, it seems a small cost to pay to wrap this up!
the questions are:
- is there a problem with applying Impregnator or Bulletproof to the whole wall surface; tile and grout lines both?
- will the tiles look 'off' if they are sealed with either or both product/s?
- will the sealer peel off the glazed porcelain over time, since it cannot 'impregnate' the surface?
- which product do you suggest as the heartiest / best protecting / most durable in a shower/tub surround?
awaiting your advice, with many thanks. kavita
