John,Guys,Go to http://www.lehmans.com
It's an Amish/Mininite supply company that still sells the old timey tools,housewares...you name it.They sell the old draw-knives,spoke-shaves,gouges..etc. I have a catalog that I just got in.I have a push-plow I bought from them that I use in the garden.Take a look I think you'll enjoy it.

Wait a minute. There is something very suspicious here. You're talking about people who won't ride in automobiles, won't watch TV (don't own TVs), and won't use tractors to plow the south forty.
Think about it. These people have a web site? Does that mean they own computers?

LMAO......Yep,at least the guy who is marketing the stuff.
The Mininites,Amish,Shakers are all very enterprising groups. The Shakers were actually very wealthy and their entire society was run efficiently. They were the first community to have a telephone and,as you know, are world famous for the quality, versatility and durability of their furniture as well as just about anything else they made.
While their religious convictions prohibit them from living in the modern age for the most part, the Amish and Mininites have always had lucritive business relationships with the "outside" world.
I don't believe that Mr. Lehman is a dedicated member of either belief. Most of his products are made by the Amish people of Ohio and are authentic in form and function. Some of it is a little pricey though.

C'mon guys their website is no big deal it runs on kerosene, you guys should know that.
The thing I don't like it their tax exempt status.
I live near the ohio border and not that far from many of the groups and have seen them on many construction sites competing with guy that PAY taxes.
And not to mention all the damage the horse/carraige metal wheels do to the roads that they don't pay for.
It just does not really seem right that if they are doing the same business dealings as anyone else that they still are tax exempt.
Perhaps that law is a little out dated huh?

I don't think they're any more tax exempt than the next guy when working on a construction job. Deductions are deductions.
