You know it's funny how we get used to things and how easy it is to take them for granted.

I have to appologize to John and Patti.

That is exactly what I have done, taken them and there service for granted.

The enjoyment that I have had since signing on here for the 1st time last May 26th I believe, has really been something.

Then I woke up yesterday morning and made the coffee, took some pills and went to fire up the computer. While is was doing it's thing with AOL, I sat impatiently waiting to check email, to see if Bud had responded to my last written defense of the "INDUSTRY" as a "BROTHERHOOD".

I found a couple of emails, deleted those and went to "JOHN BRIDGE" on my favorites.

Home page turned up, computer is doing it's normal s s l l o o o o w w , thingy. Click on the Forum and "BLAM" HOUSTON WE HAVE A PROBLEM!!!!!

My world has just come to an abrupt stop, and my air bag didn't deploy. WOW, man I went face first, right into my screen.

WEll my 1st thought is, this can't be happening, I'll just try again. Well "BLAM", this is a problem, now what the hell am I going to do.

To make a long story a little longer.

John & Patti, Thank you for providing all of us with a place to goof off, show off, play, vent and just be friends.

I personally appreciate what you provide and sure can't wait to get over to Houston for a few months and try to figure out where you find the time to make all of this possible.

Sincerely,

Art

ps: John, now that you are feeling all fuzzy and stuff, can you fix the "Were Back" title, I was trying to use spacing for effect and it didn't come out right and it won't let me edit it.

Geez, what kind of outfit is this anyway, man I don't want to have to come over there,(for more than 3 months), and get side ways with ya.

Just don't try any of that spanking, Art, while you're getting all warm and fuzzy.

Art,
I tried to fix that thing but it won't take spaces for some reason. (16 spaces)

See it just closed-up 16 spaces after "reason" above.

Yep the board is back alright, I just checked my email and I have twenty three of them telling me everything is working again.

"JOHN"???

Yeah, no spanking, Art. Glad we are able to help you through your day.

Can't seem to fix the title. Won't let me in. Dave?

John I got in and added the dashes but the program overrides the spaces.

John:

I'm confused. Is Bud seeking our help to set some kind of record in receiving emails?

His goal of two emails per hour doesn't sound very ambitious to me, so perhaps there's something I don't understand.

But I'll be happy to participate. Just give the signal and I'll start sending!

No need to thank me, Bud. Really. You should have asked earlier, I'm sure the others would be glad to help too.

Hey Guys,

I promise I'll attack the email thing again this weekend with vigor. I'm just so damned glad the thing is working.

Anyway, I'll see if I can eliminate the feature altogether. It's neat for people who just have a question or two, but hey . . . .

Whine, wine, wyn, wyne.....

Hey Bud!! Did you watch "Saturday night live in the late 70's?

Are you related to Todd and or Lisa? You know the "Whiners".

He suffered from diverticulitis!

Bill Murray and Gilda Radner.

2nd reference to that show this evening. Must be the beers, or was it the Martini that preceded the beers?

Who knows?

Art, I had my own withdrawal without a computer since last week. Absolutely agree with your opening post. To show our gratitude I think we should let John have free beer the entire first day of his annual Fall Festival.

It's settled, we won't start charging John for his beer, until the 2nd day, of the 3 to 4 month festival

[Patti, I think I'll try ignoring it this time.]

We don't know if John can hold his beer or not. What if he gets blitzed after the first two beers and doesn't drink anymore all day on the second day? Then what? No John, no consumption, no beer income.

Maybe we should sell him a weeks worth of non-refundable tickets up front. Then he can crash as soon as he wants and we have no loss of income. Kinda like an airline ticket.

Not to worry, you let me at the stove top or the grill...he'll keep drinkin'. hahaha.

John Bridge

John Bridge never got blitzed on only two little beers.

Sonnie, you can have the Weber and the other thing. I think they call it a smoker. Really, trying to make hot dogs and burgers when everyone else it getting blitzed never appealed to me. I mean, how can you follow an intelligent conversation whilst contending with grease flare-ups, etc.? It's just not civilized.

Keith,

Your doing the cooking.

If Sonnie keeps John up, there will be less beer for us.

All I wanna know is what are you boys gonna be smokin'?

Bud, It's the raal thang!!

Now wait a minute, a few pages ago, John and Patti, were leaving town (I don't know who told em' Bud and Cletus were coming to town), now John is going to stay and drink his beer. By the way did he ever give us his charge account # down at the local liquor store? And what time does it open?

all liquor stores in TX are open 10am to 9pm Mon-Sat (I know this having been a former wine buyer for a chain here), now if you don't sell liquor, you can open 8am-2am M-Sat and noon til midnight on Sunday. We need more hindu's and fewer Baptists, they don't even worry about lent, just conscience.
