I have white tumbled marble countertops which were sealed with a one step stone enhancer and sealer..I'm wondering if that's what we should have used. The tiles have lots of water spots and the finish is very uneven. There's a large splotch which does not seem to absorb any sealer and appears as if something acidic like vinegar may have been spilt on it and nothing I do makes it so it doesn't stand out. I would like a nice even finish with a subtle sheen...any help would be appreciated.

Hi Moreen, Welcome! :)

It sounds like you etched the surface with something acidic. There isn't a sealer made that will protect against acidic attacks.

Depending on how handy you are, you may be able to abrade the surface to eliminate the etch. This is usually best if handled by a natural stone restoration expert.
