Does anyone know a person or family personally who has won the lottery....
sweepstakes clearing house or anything of the sorts. Im not asking is you've
seen a winner in your local paper, but does anyone here know somebody personally who has won a HUGE amount of money? I was talking with my wife
and we were looking at the publishers clearing house 'scam'. How do we know
if there are real winners? You see them on comercials, but are they actors?
Is this a big farse? All of it? Tom leykus refers to the lottery as the "Moron Tax"

Pub clearing House-- My wife went to school with a million dollar winner!! The Lottery in Mass. I know a person who hit a scratch ticket that entered him into a TV show and went for it all- ended up with @340K a year for life. And I have a nephew who is in the business of buying winning annuities from lottery winners, so he is in touch with many who have won!!!!!
Im still waiting for my luck to change!!!!

Jack I have won some money on the lotery nothing big but it was duoble digits with a comma. I have worked in a sub division where a guy won a very large amount of money and they looked it. average house with tons of toys stuffed everywhere.

Yeah dave cant wait for coverings. I am going for 2 days for sure. common down you r the next tile boy at coverings.
The best definition for a state lottery that I have seen is "a surtax on stupidity". Wish I could remember where I saw that.
I have no problem with people who can spare a few bucks buying a few tickets for a thrill. But I have witnessed so many who obviously can't afford it spending $20 or $50 or more hoping to change their lot in life. They don't have an idea what those multimillion to one odds mean.

Somebody who lived across the street from me when I was a kid won $200,000. We didn't live there anymore but friends/neighbors we were still in touch with on the street told us. So I knew them but I didn't keep in touch with them by the time they won it. Does that count?
