durock mud pan joint

Hello - wondering what the recommendation is with the joint (3/8 - 1/4") between the durock and the mud pan. Finished all other joints with thinset and alkali resist tape. Do i then put redgard over the whole area (*walls & floor too?)

Hi Bono, don't do anything with it. You can try to pack a little mud under it while mudding the floor to help brace it at the bottom. ;)
