I have black slate in my foyer with a cement grout the surface of which which seems to be breaking up in a few spots. I am experimenting with Poly Grout grout renew and darkening the color as well. So far so good.
Before this I used to clean the slate with a wax stripper for tile floors then use a stone/tile sealer finish(acrylic urethane). I want to apply a sealer over the grout renew but the one I used before says to remove after 6-8 applications. Problem: with the grout renew I cannot apply any kind of solvent. Question:Is there a sealer I can apply which will not need to be stripped and renewed?

Hi Millie, Welcome! :)

Any quality impregnating sealer or enhancer will not need to be stripped.
