John, I sent this lady here, hopefully she turns up, she's a neighbor of yours. Check out floorinstaller's BB "Ask expert" thread is leveling mud bed and "Anything Goes" thread, SLC thickness b4 you answer her. Bud Cline also suggested she visit you. She lives in Kingwood Tx, that's just down the road a piece, right?

Muchas Gracias, Jim
Kingwood is actually UP the road a piece (about 50 clicks), and I don't travel that far. We'll certainly be happy to tell her all we know, though. It'll only take a minute.
C'mon, Val!

I take that back. I do travel to Kingwood if someone pays me mucho dinero, but lately that hasn't happened much.
Kingwood, by the way, (for all you out-of-towners) just recently got dragged into the City of Houston (kicking and screeming). In other words, they were annexed, and not many folks out that way are happy about it. Kingwood is to the north, and a little to the east, of Houston. It's on the road to Texarcana (a lovelier town never was built).
I live in an unincorporated area of the county just west of Houston, and I think we're on the list. God only knows what'll happen to Mount Houston if we get annexed -- what's left of it, that is.

John,
Now I know what happened to Valerie, I emailed you before I realized you now have this forum, last time I visited your site it (forum) wasn't here. Disregard email.
Valerie if you come back here, I just wanted to say goodluck with your new floor. :)

Hey Bud,
Whatever the reason for your arrival, don't be a stranger! We can use all the help we can get. And we need to talk about exchanging links. I toured your site -- not bad for a mechanic.
Just one question: Where's "Central" Nebraska?
Almost forgot to tell you to feel free to list your domain on this forum. If you list it in the message itself, it'll be live. Start with http:// etc. If you list it in your signature, it'll be there every time you post -- automatically, but it won't be live. People will have to copy and paste it into their browser. So just type it in whenever you feel like it. People can then click it and be transported to the rolling fields of Nebraska, an irreplaceable part of our nation's "Bread Basket."

Admin asks: Just one question: Where's "Central" Nebraska?
Well I'll tell ya (yawl).
In Central Nebraska; everyone here knows about "cow tipping" and "Jello salad with marshmallows". :D
We all drink "pop" and eat "Runza's", the grocery stores don't bag our groceries they "sack em". :)
School classes get cancelled when it's too cold, school classes get cancelled when it's too hot. :(
Most people here have themselves "detassled" or their kids have.
People here install security lights on both their house and garage and then never lock either.
We know that a "cornhusker" is not necessarily a farm hand, and a traffic jam is ten cars waiting to pass a tractor on the highway.
When someone says they are going down south that means they are headed for Kansas, and "knee high by the fourth of July" realy means something.
We have a Kearney, Beatrice, a Worms and a Yahoo and can spell them all. :p
Oh yeh!, one more thing; we all carry jumper cablers in our vehicles, winter and summer.
John, I hope this answers your question and clears up a few things.
