Hi all,

I am finishing up my porcelain tile kitchen floor, which is a glazed 12" size. My wife is already asking me what she can use to clean it (probably a couple times a week knowing her :yeah: ). Would a small amount of liquid dish soap dilluted in water be OK or should I look for a "porcelain tile cleaner" at the local home improvement store?

Also, what grout sealer would y'all recommend for a highly traveled entrance hallway?

Thanks!

Craig:

Our online store has a nice penetrating sealer. Seal more often than recommended to keep it looking good. With properly sealed grout, and normal use, just a damp sponge mop should be fine. No need for all the chems.

Enjoy,

Hi Craig :)

I'll argue Arns point a bit. Utilizing a tile & stone specific neutral pH cleaner will assist in the cleaning. Besides conditioning the water, they utilize surfacants, that will assist in breaking down and lifting the soil.

Stone Techs Heavy Duty Stone Sealer or BulletProof will work very well to seal your grout.

Do I need to seal the porcelain tile as well or just worry about the grout? The tile is actually glazed so I don't know if sealing it would buy me any extra protection. It is very textured to give it a natural stone look if that matters????

Thanks!

Hi Craig :)

If its glazed, no need to seal. When applying to the grout, you'll still want to buff anything that should get on the tile, before it drys.
