OK already, thanks, great idea John, and "The Mud Box" is much more appropriate than sand box anyway. I guess.
Sooooooooo, well alrighty then, what are we going to talk about? A, ah, ahhhh, well poop. I don't have nothin'.

Congrats, Bud, Congrats.
Alright, let's start out talkin' about mud boxes. I 've got three Jacksons. My original one. A new minature one, good only for shower floors, but super easy to haul around. And the Mega-Mother, big enough to stand in, worth moving only on really big floors where there's lots of mud to mix. I've never mixed it on driveways the way john does in the book.
Next topic: what tile saws are used by members of the forum?

I don't know what happened there. Might have been the eigth Miller's. I'll work on it. Hope it's not that big bad virus that's in the news. the red something or other.
Might take a day or so, Bud, but you da man. You da "moderator."

Popped open Miller number nine, and things became quite clear. You da "moderator," Bud.
In fact, I changed my own title. Admistrator was beginning to sound a bit lofty.

I leave the area for 5 hours, and lookey what we got here!!
A great big mud box.
I used to sell Jackson mud boxes. Seems like the #'s were 30,40 & 5o, if memory serves. Not that it has before, certainly not in the recent past.
I don't know much about boats, but I'm teaching LL a thing or 2 about canoes. (Any one seen my Viagra?)
All I know is before we left, all the girl fishies had great big smiles on their faces & and the boy fishies were looking for some thing else that smells like fish.
Harry thanks for the tip, er.... a conoe!!LOL

Bud
Is this the appropriate place for you and Jim to talk about shooting parrots with roman candles? I still want to hear more.
Whaddya mean "what's a mud box?" What are you mixing mud in?
Are you sending in a picture of Bud Jr? Jana is waiting.

I'm old fashioned Rob, I still use a wheelbarrel.
I've got some flicks here somewhere on floppy, I'll see what I have. But first I have to charge the battery, to sort thru the flicks because I don't remember how to do it on the computer. Then I have to remember how to get on the computer, then I have to figure out how to get the things on the net I guess, then I have to figure out how to post it here.
This is all very complicated for this tileguy. I've also got some stuff on CD but God only knows where those things are right now. Oh yeh, then I have to work, and that really gets in the way most of the time. But as for now it's my bedtime.

I quit hauling around a mud box and went to a wheelbarrow years ago, too. The wheelbarrow is harder to mix in, but it doubles as a stand for the wet saw, and sometimes it's used to ferry material from the truck. If you're running a crew, though, you'll have at least one, and maybe two or three, "mud boxes."
Bud, maybe you call it a sand box?

Actually the cat is the only thing around here that uses a sand box these days. Now that I think about it, that's clay in there too.

So John,
Four and a half years later and the site is apparently still up. Looks like it's got a couple of posts and a few subscribers. Is it what you had planned or did it morph into a monster that you never thought possible? :king:
Grats.

I'm none too sure Dave but I have heard that if you mix prozac and viagra with the thinset, then the tiles dont drop off and the thinset goes hard in no time flat.
