for the circumstances. Al Sharpton has always been more than willing to supply the press a soundbite or two, and of course he's at it again:
Rev. Al Sharpton said Thursday that looters who terrorized flood-ravaged New Orleans this week acted out of anger that the services paid for with their taxes were not available.ok, what's wrong with this picture?
think about it.....(tick, tock, tick, tock......) :uhh:

You gotta love him, a true opportunist. New Yorkers just shake their heads when he pontificates. :shake:
I worry this may be getting to him tho, this morning he actually spoke with some sanity and sincerity. He called for a national day of prayer tomorrow.

Boy this dude just jerks my chain. He and the naacp is why I have a confederate flag plates on my Jeep. When I start thinking about taking them off, he opens his big fat mouth again. :bang:
How much good, I mean really really good, could an organization like this do? And yet, what they choose to do is point fingers at who and what is not being done good enough fast enough hard enough. :bang: :bang: :bang:
I watched his interview last night on msnbc till I was sick to my stomach. All those recources, time, money, energey, and effort just to point a finger and gripe. :bang:
I'd just love to tell him one thing.
If you're not part of the solution, you're part of the problem. So either sit down and shut up or roll your sleeves up and get to work, but shut up either way.
Come to think of it, of all the organizations pitching in, I've yet to hear of one $%@^%^# thing the naacp has done or is doing to help these people out. :bang: :bang: :bang:

I may be wrong but I don't think the Rev. Al represents the NAACP.

I could be wrong too, but seems to me the two go hand in hand, along with the esteemed Rev Jesse Jackson, and others who are busy busy busy with the finger pointing.
Don't get me wrong, I'm not a white supremist racially motived redneck from SC. But I do despise this organization. They promote racism and hatred constantly. They are DIRECTLY responsible for the loss of many many jobs in SC, for blacks and whites.

Whats wrong with that? The looters aren't paying the taxes. In fact, I would bet that our taxes are going to the looters. :suspect:
A national day of prayer? Now that should really do some good. Why do people expect that praying to God to intervene would be more effective than taking the bull by the horns and actually handling the situation? Have we become so gutless that we won't even honestly address a problem? The longer I live, the more my mind gets blown by the stupidity of things.

BINGO!! :yipee:
Give the man a cigar, or gold star, or something..... :D
and these are the same folks the Sharptons of the world are always claiming "didn't get a tax cut" from those mean ol' Republicans. This is not to demean or belittle the poor people of NO, but let's face it - it's a good bet these folks are in the 50% of the population that pays barely 20% of the taxes in this country (2001 data).
it's too bad this kind of stuff has to get thrown in with the good stuff the reverend Al actually contributes on occasion.
