Peter was my favourite. He'll be missed...

Taylor, where have you been hiding out? I was beginning to think you had abandoned me

I was please to find out he was a High School drop-out, dunno why this pleased me, but I thought it was encouraging. :)

Man that lung-C moved fast. Seemed like he just announced he was taking time off. Shame, I liked him second to Kronkite (sp?)

I am first and foremost..... a gentleman... I would not, could not, abandon anyone with such a sparkle... specially on the left side.

Mark and Lady G..... what do you think ol Peter (HE, not us) would say (perhaps silently with a nod or a look) about the mother camping out at Crawford Texas a-wanting to meet with dubious dubyu... the mother who recently lost her son to Iraq bombers?

PS: I will be outa touch fer about three weeks... will be taking some time out fer home repairs.... and a-using that dam$ boat I restored..... a little drinking, fishing, wimmen chasing..... that sorta stuff. Ya wanna go fer a boat ride? (old joke). Todd and Mushy M won't take me

PPS: I yam spry enough at my advanced age to catch most older wimmen who wait long enough fer me to git close. :suspect:

Dave, I think you got the 'nod' or 'look' part right.

Have fun, repairin', boatin', wimmen'n. Get yourself one of those tranquilizer dart guns for the fast young'ns. :D They wake up to a candle lit dinner, 50 miles from shore, at least you'd have 50 miles to woo 'em before you had to catch and release 'em. :)

My wife said I'm not allowed to hunt wimmens anymore. :bang:

Peter was self-educated and so well read, that I think he knew a whole lot more than most of my history professors at college. On top of it all, he was quite a goodlooking man...sorry, couldn't help the drool there.

Dave T. Have fun, but not too much please. At your age, you need to watch the amount of excitement you encourage in your life

Some of the brightest people I've met haven't gone to college. Some of the dumbest have :bang:

It'll have to be Mike, I just sold my boat this morning :)

I'll have another by next spring if things go as planned :)

It worked out well, i had it 3 summers and sold it for 50.00 less than I paid for it ;)
Not bad for a 3 year rental fee on a 12,000.0 boat :D

Dave, that's some scary stuff you're saying there... Pete was handsome, but when I see a guy thinking along the same lines as me...

Dave, are you alright in there? :twitch:

It's a bit cramped in here but.... thanks, I'm OK.

Yer right Lady G... I need this vacation badly and its a-starting tomorrow at 5:00pm Loveville time. Gonna have --my two sons-- (not the old TV sitcom either) visiting from Todd country.... if'n I kin figure out which airlines and airports there flying in on. These two will keep me from making too big a fool of myself chasing wimmens or (as you warn) encouraging too much excitement in this ol bod :--)

Take care yerself :)

Dave, I've been trying to take care of myself this week. So far, I've done okay. Much better than last week.

I'm glad to hear your sons will be keeping you company. You had me scared there for a minute. I keep seeing this old geezer trying to do things he shouldn't be doing at his age and wondering if we would ever hear from you again...that's if you were able to do the things I figured you'd try. Seeing that the sons are going to keep you out of trouble has left me feeling better about this whole vacation thing.

Take care of yourself and come back in one piece...Not sure how we would put an old geezer back together again...thinset? :uhh:

:D Lady-G, the dumpty . . .humpty joke twas a good lil' giggle. Modified thinset. :D

Dave, you're in luck, Pete J. was gay and proud of it. I saw it front page in one of the papers at the check-stand, they think he might have had an alien baby too, but Dr.'s need to double check that one. :uhh:

It could be a farse, or 'the force' . . . unless the force is a farce, figuratively and quite feasibly a figment of a fried frontal lobe, fortunately for which I couldn’t fathom for a farthing far east of fantasy land, and in that case we’re f . . . (can’t think of an ‘f’ word here) . . .ahh, forget it.

As for the sniffles watchin’ TV . . . ‘Band of Brothers’ got to me, especially when they had the interviews with the actual guys that were portrayed in the series, but nobody saw me cept the dog, and I had to put him down, cause he ‘knew too much’. ;)

Keep the sons out of trouble, or teach them how to cause trouble well, and have fun. :)

And back to P.J. . . Who can fill pajamas shoes?

Mark

No one could Fill Peter's shoes. I don't think there has been anyone in the US that quite matched up to him in broadcasting, no matter how many times ya'll talk about that Cronkite dude

Come on...a highschool drop out that could hold his own like that on national TV? All I can say is...WOW

Mark, it looks like I'll have to keep an eye on you now. With Dave T. on vacation, there is no telling what kind of mischief you're going to get up to :bang:
