Let me start by writing, I know nothing about tile. I have moved into a new house after extensive remodeling. My wife chose limestone tile for the kitchen and after doing some research, I believe the installer did not seal it or prepare it properly as it appears it was laid down right out of the box. A drop of water absorbs into the tile and leaves a stain and the floor appears dirty right after its washed. I don't know where to turn. My contractor will not return my calls to discuss this and many other problems with the house. I would prefer not to have to remove the tile as the cabinets and countertops have been installed over it. Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

I would get it sealed right away. You will still have to be careful with spills, especially liquids that contain acid. Soft drinks, coffee, orange juice, etc. I like the Stone Tech Bulletproof sealer. I use this all the time on Limestone. It will need a couple coats. We happen to sell it right here in the TYW online store. Check it out. :)
