Finished my new Kerdi tile shower 2 weeks ago and I am wondering what would be the best product to use for the weekly cleaning ritual. Are some cleaning products too harsh on the grout sealer and tile? Are Zep products any good?
Thanks
Marc

Hi Marc :)
Zep makes good products, but they are major suppliers to janitorial companies. Some of their products are not safe for use on natural stone.
Your best bet is to get a stone specific neutral pH cleaner for daily maintenance. Stone Tech, Aqua Mix, Prosoco, MbStone, SCI, Lithofin, and EcoLab all make such products. Why not support our site and try some Stone Tech All Purpose Cleaner.
Have you sealed the grout joints? :shades:

Well I tried the Zep cleaner on the weekend and my newly sealed grout is now turning darker when taking a shower. I had sealed grout with Aquamix Gold 15. Is my sealer finished?

Sometimes water based sealers do that, and even if the Zep removed the sealer, you can let it dry out, and reseal. :)

Hi Marc :)
Don't forget these are impregnating sealers. They may "wet" out. How long did it take to dry out? Do you sqeegee or towel dry your shower after using?
As Dave said, additional coats of sealer may help.
