We're remodelling our bath. We decided to keep the floor...a nice, original mosaic-tile. It has a few cracks, but nothing major (We'll call it patina ;o).

It is a bit dingy, though...namely the grout. Short of griding out all the grout and regrouting, any recommendations? Actually, maybe I should consider the regrouting too.

I'd like to clean the tiles as best I can, and then reseal the grout. I somewhat doubt the grout was ever really sealed to begin with, based on the variation of wear/color throughout the floor.

We'll ignore the cracks then....above you'll see the TYW store logo, and in there you'll find Stonetech's grout and tile cleaner, which you can order in different sizes.A nice scrubbing brush with this cleaner, and a wet vac is gonna get the grout about as good as it can get without scraping the top layer down....hopefully the glaze isn't wore through on the tile. :)

Hi Darrel :)

To go into a bit more detail. Clean the tile and grout with a tile & stone specific high alkaline cleaner (such as ST's KlenzAll). Allow the product to dwell on the surface without drying, agitate with stiff brush, and pick up with dirty water with wet vac. Rinse with clean water, agitate with brush, and suck up the dirty water.

Complete the project by a final cleaning with ST's Restore (an acidic product). Follow label directions and dilution ratio's.

Hope this helps. ;)
