I have had about a dozen or so recommendations for sealing the whole tile vs. just the grout lines. The split is 50/50. I have 12" Glazed ceramic in the kitchen. What is the best method; to glaze or not to glaze the whole floor?
Also, I have some small gaps 1/4" or less in between some of my backer board pieces. Would I benefit from smearing thinset in between then taping over or not?

Hi Al, Welcome! :)

I'm going out on a limb here, and gonna guess that you haven't tiled yet? :shades:

Did you thinset the cement board to the subfloor?

Most CBU's require thinset & tape at the seams.

As far as sealing the glazed ceramic tile, only sealing the grout joints is necessary. It's ok to get the sealer on the tile, just buff it off before it drys on the surface.
