I missed the Coverings 2002 because I had to head over to Alabama Monday morning to see friends, oh well.
I must have been to at least 10 different States (11 if you add confusion) and man was it ever hot in Florida! I never knew there was a "Swanee River" or a real "Chatinooga Choo Choo" ... ya see I've learned all my American geography from songs. I especially loved the drive through Kentucky and Tennessee with all the hills and valleys.

The nicest place I visited was "St Augustine" .... what an amazing and beautiful historical area. Even went to their "Ripleys Believe it Or Not" museum .... very interesting!

Sorry guys if I spelled any place names wrong :D

Glad you enjoyed the trip. You didn't happen to go through Newark, New Jersey did you? John left his car there the last time he went thru, he's offering a reward.

Harry,

Remember several month ago we were talking about Yankees, Rebels, the Mason-Dixon Line and the Deep South? Well you just drove through a sizeable portion of the Deep South. Glad you enjoyed it. St. Augustine happens to be the oldest continually occupied city in the United States.

Oh, and while you were away I only stole two or three things from your site. You'll be proud of me. :)

I put it all together myself. With a little help from my "Fore Fathers".

I love the drive through Kentucky and Tennessee as well. Wait till you drive through the Rocky Mountain States, those ARE mountains.

Glad you enjoyed your visit and sorry you didn't have the opportunity to meet me at the show. I'm sure it was the highlight of Rons trip.:D

Er, Jim. We're talkin' mountains here. ;) The cathills are nice. I saw them in Dirty Dancing, but the Rockies they are not, amigo. Sorry.

Matter of fact, I wouldn't even put Mt. Houston up against the Rockies.

New aBridged definition of a mountain (as opposed to just a hill.

Mountain: exceeds the timber line

Hill: does not;)

Terry,

I can't recall whether I had hung a nickname on you. Did I? What was/is it? I'm trying to get all that stuff restored. Unfortunately, there's no restoration available for the old brain. ;)

John,
It was Virginia Tile Contractor. That may be a bit too staid for this colorful cast of characters. I'll defer to your discretion.

Well, since the thread has been well hijacked....I was doing research (looking at pics of Barbs' floor pattern) and noticed that she doesn't have her Saltillo Kid name back. I don't know if she comes by anymore, but she sure earned the name! My wife is thinking of a pattern with the dots, but at every corner (thank goodness, just with a lot of different colors. So saltillo, just something that sorta, kinda looks like it.

I get them refilled 24 at a time. Normally lasts me at least a couple of days.

Haven't OD'd in a few weeks, long before that post.
