Water stains (I think) on beige marble floor

The beige marble floor in my foyer has what appears to be water stains. It occured after washing the floor after some snow got onto it. I had a professional come & buff the floor, but the stains are still noticeable. Can anyone recommend a fix for this? Help!

I sorry to say that it is not water stains. More than likely some deicing or other yet to be determined substance was mixed in the snow and ice.

If the spot feels smooth and the shine is just slightly affected a polishing cream might work.
