Does anyone have any experience they can share using Tile Lab's Stone Enhancer/Sealer? I am thinking of using this on gold tumbled unfilled travertine tiles I will be installing. I would be very interested in any feedback both on the color enhancing qualities as well as the sealer qualities of the prouduct. Are there better stone enhancer/sealers out there or is this as good as the others? Thanks!

Hi Tumbled :)

I don't use Tile Lab anything.

Our site leans toward Stone Tech products.

Other enhancers that I have had successful results are Aqua Mix, Prosoco, MBStone. It all depends on the material, and desired results. I always suggest TESTing first.

What John (doitright) said.

We don't get a lot of positive feedback about the TileLab products. Seems like their best feature is availability at Homer's.

The StoneTech EnhancerPro is a solvent-based penetrating sealer/enhancer with an added antimicrobial to inhibit growth of molds and mildew and fungus and prolly trees and shrubs on the surface if that's a consideration. It's pretty good stuff, but, as John said, you need to test it first to be sure it'll work on your particular stone. I know we've had at least one person (may even have been John K) use it and say it didn't really enhance his stone much. Don't recall what kinda stone it was being used on, but I've read enough hereabouts to know that it can happen with one enhancer and not another.

If you send a PM or email or call David Taylor at Tile-Experts.com (see ad in our store) and while a little, maybe he'll send you a little sample bottle to test on your stone. Or contact StoneTech directly and ask for a sample.

My opinion; worth price charged.

The man that did my bathroom in travatine used it and so far so good. (pics are in John's gallery pics) Looks every bit as clean and perfect as the first day. Of course, we are careful to lie towels on the travatine before placing any bottles that may leak. I've been told by many on this site it is not the best....from my experience it is fine. To remain on the prevention side I make it a point to seal it again with the same every year. No biggie
