Just water and towel dry is how I do it.

Hi Paul, Welcome! :)
We use a neutral pH cleaner.

Thanks for the info, the water and towel did get some of the marks or spot up
but I still see a film on some and I did notice them before I grouted, I thought maybe it was from the thinset when they were handled but the flim don't look like finger or hand prints. Is there a solvent or something I can use?
I think I've got it now! I used a little soap and water and the film came off, in some area I had to wet the area and use a razor blade, it worked and now I'm ready to seal the tile & grout.
Thanks again for everyones help

It is possible that they had some type of production coating on it to prevent scratching in the box.

First off, the most important thing to remember is that stone is a chemical in a solid form. When an improper chemical is used, it reacts.
Using just soap and water to clean isnt going to do it. Soap leaves a film and water leaves mineral deposits. Both of which will cause dulling over time. Also, a product such as Windex should NOT be used to clean any natural stone either. Windex attacks the color minerals of the stone. Black for example will turn grey over time.
My suggestion would be to use a pH neutral cleaner that is made specifically by a stone chemical manufacturer not something you find at target or walmart.
