I'll see if I can poke a couple of guys with the soft cushions, sit them in the comfy chair, and maybe they'll talk. But then again, maybe not. :uhh:

Jim, Don't forget Pagans and Gypsies also. Hell, when the Inquisition swept through your neck of the woods you had better be on EVERYBODY's good side. "Heretic" was more volitile a label than "communist" was under McCarthy-ism. And under torture, all sorts of fantasitcal confessions were solicited. What fun! Thank goodness we've learned from history and that witch hunts and confessions collected through torture are well in humanity's sorrid past. :uhh:

Oh I don't know how much we learned Shaughnn, how about the nursery school molestation accusations , trials and convictions rampant in the late 70s early 80s?

I don't remember the name of the one case where the kids said there was a tunnel, and torture, and such, Jim,then without solid proof, they let the daycare people off the hook, but a psychologist friend of mine, who was a friend to someone involved with it, said they later did discover a tunnel, but it was too late to do anything about it, the case was over. Shaughnn, i guess you forgot about our p.o.w.'s in Iraq...broken legs, rape, executions, and such, the serbian ethnic cleansing,Cambodias' killing fields,China,or did you mean the U.S. finally stopped?:)

Mike
suggest you read
The Perfect Heresy
Stephen O'Shea
ISBN 0-8027-9912-4
Details the Cathar Heresy and the Inquisition in South West France which is almost Spain and involved a bunch of Catalans anyway. :D
Note I did note refer to Swarthy Dagos which is how Python invariably referred to anyone from the region.
