I get soap build up on my stand up shower that is all tumbled marble. It has been super sealed before used with Pro Solve 10 (many coats). Water still beads up on floor, but soap builds up and dries. I can rub it off with water and rag or something, but would like to use a faster easier process.

I have a shower that has black grout. For over a year I used liquid soap to prevent the bar soap buildup. During that time I always had sinus problems and finally resolved them by switching back to bar soap. Up to that point the shower really never needed cleaning other than just cleaning for hygienic reasons. Tile and grout have been spotless. After a month or so with bar soap I had the inevitable soap buildup on the tile and the black grout. I spotted some Zep commercial shower, tub, and tile cleaner at HD for $2. I sprayed the entire area with Zep and a half an hour later rinsed it down and I had a new shower. This stuff worked great. You might give it a try.

Jerry,

Is your shower tumbled marble? Because if it is ceramic or porcelain, the Zep will not hurt it. But if it is tumbled marble at your house, than the Zep would be fine for use elsewhere. If you do not have tumbled marble, travertine or any other calcium based stone in your home shower you could have advised them to use an acidic cleaner on a calcareous stone causing much damage.

Check out Zep's web site regarding the cleaner you specified:

Any commercial product that says "tile and grout" usually contains acids. I hope Sparks98 reads this in time.

I wasn't here for my good looks man  . I would be broke by now  .

I teach this stuff in almost every seminar I give. Simple rule "If it says "& grout" or tub "&" tile, chances are that it is acidic". I think its that little ampersand(&) thing that is out to get the marble  . I couldn't tell you how many showers and counters I have seen ruined by acidic cleaners. And the funniest thing is like you pointed out "it says right on the label." Hmm, it is like they were trying to tell us something :twitch: .
