My all-time, can't-be-beat excuse is that he can't come in 'cause he's gotta harvest his crop.

And I'm not talkin' tomatoes....

I had a guy once that child support found shortly after he was hired. 6 paternity suit judgements. That very week wouldn't you know it, he slipped and fell into the deep end of the swimming pool we were working on and hurt his back. Was on Workmans Comp for months till they saw him swapping transmissions in his new unoffical job, car repair in his driveway. Had another one who was 62, went on vacation in Texas and got papers for a paternity suit a year later. Guys name was John Wayne. He died a few months later on his back porch with a Martini glass in his hand and a jug full on the table. Helper found him when he didn't show up for work. Yeah, don't miss it at all.

I've already told you, Dave. John Wayne was killed at the Alamo, right alongside Richard Widmark and Lawrence Harvey. So quit tellin' those misleading stories, will ya?

My old installation amigo knew where all their caves were. He would just toss a grenade in and throw em in the truck as they came out. :D
