OK folks,A Client of mine that has several Motels called and asked me a question on how to remove either Ink or dye out of a fiberglass tub.
Some type of poultice perhaps??
I realize this is not hard surface and due to the nature of fiberglass, guesses are too scary.(brother in law used a tub and tile cleaner on his fiberglass tub, Big mistake,he turned it into a Gel LOL ,he's not the brightest bulb in the house if you know what i mean ;) )
If anyone Knows of a good safe method and has first hand experiance,I would sure like to hear about it so i can pass it along to these fine folks.
Thanks

Sounds of whistling, fingers drumming, foot tapping and a stifled yawn.

Give Bill Lawrence at Access Alternatives....800-635-0547..His company does bathtub and shower repairs, cut-out, etc....He may have a solution to the staining of fiberglass tubs.

To be honest, I really dont know what he can do for those stains, a poultice isnt going to work on that. The only thing I can suggest, which he may have already tried, is Mineral Spirits. I know when I stained my closets in my house, I rinsed out the brush in my bathtub (blonde moment) and of course it stained my tub. It is a porcelain tub. But I used mineral spirits and it took it right out. Could be worth a shot if not already tried. :yipee:

Possibly use "Gel Gloss" also, as it's made for that stuff. I'm not so sure about some of those suggestions that the link offers.
