I have a new travertine shower and bathroom floor I am in the middle of sealing. I purchased the StoneTech Bullet Proof sealer and have applied 2 coats so far. I am now thinking that I would perfer a "wetter" look. Can I apply the Stone Enhancer or Enhancer Pro over the top of the Bullet Proof? I'm not really looking for a shiny look, just wet.

Thanks for your input.

Hi John,

The sealer you've put on might keep the enhancer form doing its job. I'll move us to the Maintenance forum where the truly learned people hang out. ;)

Hi there,

The two coats of bulletproof will inhibit a color enhancer from working.

Wouldnt hurt to put 2 coats of bulletproof on a test peice(or scrap) seperate
from the finished install, and then try to enhance it. my money is on
steven for now.

I have a lot of time working with both Bulletproof and enhancers and the advice you have gotten is correct, the enhancer won't take. Time will help as the BulletProof will eventually degrade, you can also use a product like StoneTech professional Klenz All to clean with as the alkaline nature will also help to degrade the sealer. You're looking at at least a year or two before the sealer will degrade to the point that you'll be able to enhance. Taka an uninstalled piece, seal it as you have done the installed stone, treat it the same as the floor and shower and in a year try enhancing... this will be your test instead of the floor.
