Help with shower floor grout-Please!

I need to regrout my shower floor. It has the small 2 inch tiles. Went to the store and was sold sanded adhesive grout. Removed the old put in the new -waited the 72hrs and when I used it today it is all coming out in strips (like caulk) Went back to HD and they sold me non-sanded pre-mixed grout only. Assured me it would work-read the container and says use in dry areas only, wait 48 hrs to get wet. Ok, I guess I am an idiot. What do I use? I need my shower! Thanks!

If all the grout came out, or IS out, you should be able to use some regular modified grout. I hate shopping at Lowe's but I prefer to use Mapei grout as opposed to Custom's. I also pefer to use sanded grout on those two inch tiles. I think you should wait 24 hrs before using the shower though. After that you should be ok.

Best to skip the premixed stuff too.
