Would using this in the grout mix be an effective way to seal the grout without having to use sealer every couple years?
Could I add this to say Mapei Ultracolor which already has "proprietary additives"?

Thanks,

Garth, You can add Anti-Hydro to any portland cement grout. Mapei Ultracolor is not a portland cement based grout however. Anti-Hydro will waterproof standard grout but it doesn't protect it from acid based stains. The Ultracolor is a superb grout on it's own. Be careful though, as it sets quick.

Hi Garth :)

Great question.

Hi Jerry :)

Great answer.

In addition, Anti Hydo has been used in natural grout mixes for mexican clay tiles, where hydrating to quick is a real problem.
