That's pretty pathetic. I'm glad that I stopped shopping there a couple years ago. The only place I would go to was their auto and tool department anyway and there was only a bunch of junk there. No real tools or any decent products.

Richie, I've been a scab for about 34 years. ;)
Walmart is just like any other business. If they can make it without the unions, they will. It's just economics.

John, I agree, if they went union, they would have to pay higher wages, benefits and couldn't fire you just because they don't like the way you walk, that would mean higher prices on the shelves and less customers.:)
A shame the help is always the ones who get hurt, my boss would fire all of us if he could and go non-union, never happen here, would have to lock his doors first, tired of give backs every year, tired of hearing were slow right now, maybe you guys can work with us.:)
OK, sorry, done ranting, back to tiling.:):)

Hmmmmmmm.........I don't know about that John.
Don't really want to open up a can of worms here but......if it is just economics then we can't all really get upset about shoddy tile setters doing bad work neither..... Let's face it, some of these fly-by-nighter tile guys make some pretty good coin.
I think there is more to everything then just the bottom dollar.
Just to add......I've never been a union guy probably never will. I believe in doing good work and getting accredited for that, not getting laid off based on how long you've been with a company but in how much of an asset you are.

It's sad that people cry over losing what I would imagine is probably a minimum wage job. Perhaps it pays better than I imagine.
I have a SIL who works for Sams Club and she does quite well.
