Years ago I used a grout cleaner from Color Tile, I live in Chicago, and this stuff worked great. It was acid based(not sure which particular acid was in it) and it actually foamed a bit when you were cleaning the gorut lines. I ran out of this stuff and have not been able to find a grout cleaner that works as well as the old stuff did.

Did anyone ever use the stuff from Color Tile? Any recommendations on a grout cleaner? Ive tried stuff from HD and Menards, but none have worked as good.

Thanks,
Mike

Try using Restore by StoneTech Professional. It's an acidic grout cleaner that should give you fantastic results.

Also, try using an alkaline cleaner first to clear out any oily based soils. Rinse it well and then use the acid. Oily soils can block the action of the acid, which is why you get so-so results from acids at times and it works gangbusters other times.

Most good stronger acids will make the grout foam. Fun to watch.
