While hiking the lofty slopes of Mt. Houston the other day, I collected a few specimens and potted them in my jungle.

The deforesting of Mt. Houston continues...<sniffle>
So, really- which plants are you fliching from the mountain? The deck looks nice and spiffy now, BTW. :D

And just how did you get up there? Probably tore the lowe slopes all to hell with an ATV. :)
Some of that stuff looks suspiciously like poison Sumac. Palms itchy?

I don't know John, that one thingy in the white pot you say is Norfolk Island Pine from here looks suspiciously like hemp to me. We have it growing wild around here and plenty in our yard, you can't fool me.

Damn Bud, your right! Probably John has a license for medicinal hemp.

Actually, I had to give up inhaling hemp back in the eighties. Last time I took a hit, didn't wake up until . . .
Now! :D

Obviously, it took 2 days for that lightning riposte. ;)

It's terrible. Mt. Houston is about one-third its original colossal size. They are carrying the soil off so fast that the spring seedlings hardly stand a chance. I figured I'd just go up there one last time and rescue a few specimens for old time's sake.
Gonna hafta start looking around for another cause. Anybody ever heard of Rio Houston?

Yes indeed John, St Brendan the Boisterous refers to it frequently in his journals. He first discovered the headwaters of the Rio Yuch, as he named it, in 1042 AD. Yuch is the Gaelic word for; ugh , this water taste like Buffalo piss.
