Well, the topic finally has come up (in the shallow end). Several of us admit to owning and occasionally using the $99 wondersaw from Plasplugs.

I must confess to having to buy a Plasplugs last week while in NJ working at the sister-in-law's. It turns out that I forgot to take my pump for the wet saw I took up there, and I couldn't find a pump to buy. I would have used the hose outside and sprayed water directly on the tile, but it was a condo I was working in and there were no hose bibs anywhere on the building. So, off I went to one of the crappiest HD's I have ever been to, located somewhere in North Jersey near the damn Turnpike.

Well, the wondersaw actually made some decent cuts. I got the job done. And, unbelievably, I brought the saw home with me.

I might actually use the thing now and again, but only if no one is on the job to see me.

Okay, I had to get this off of my chest. I feel better now.

Who is next?

A case of beer is worth more than the saw!

I got a Briccolina. It's the professional model Plasplug! :)

Comes in handy on the small tile jobs such as 4x4 wall tile.

I have used my little saw enough to replace the blade. Mine is a QVC I went through a couple of the plasplug type. The first one lasted quite awhile while I was hearing from everyone that theirs lasted about one job. When the first one went I always blamed it on the helper trying to cut tile to fast. The second one only lasted a month. The QVC I have had well over a year.
I really like the reduction of mess when working above the ground floor. Drain the water out put, the saw in a plastic bag and out the door no drips, no mess.

That QVC is the creme de la creme of the cheap little saws. Has some metal parts, doesn't it, Jerry? I mean, that's class. I could carry my Plasplug through the gate at the airport without setting off the buzzer. Stealth technology. ;)

Why are you carrying your Plasplug through airports? Are you secretly tiling airplane bathrooms in flight?

My "Tile Cutting Machine" from Home Despot is ALL METAL guys, 'cept for that plastic thingy on top that lets you direct where you sling water on the clients wall.

I used one on my most recent job. 13X13 tile that had to be cut on the diagonal... couldn't do it with my MK.

Hey, 45 degree bevel cuts for $100. ... I'll take it!!

There you go. Plasplug forever, I say. La la da da -- Plasplug is here to stay. . . .

Hey guys,
I was thinking of buying a Plasplugs DWW150US. It looks like a nifty little saw. My first project will be a kitchen backsplash (4x4) tumbled marble, then floor, and last I will do the B/R.

Anybody have experience with this saw. I heard that Plasplugs use a different arbor size and blades can be hard to find. What's the word on that?

This is a good site I will be back often to get answers when I get ready to do the job.

i assume you guys are talking about the little disposable saws?...yup, once in a lapse of insanity i bought one, and managed to use it to get through a backslash, although by the time i finisished, finissshhh...finnn.(got done) in the afternoon, i wished i had brought my scuba gear :shades:

Yep, that's the very saw. I gave my Plasplugs away when I got my Felker FTS 50, and that's the throw-away saw I now recommend. It has a little brush on the back of the blade that removes a portion of the water before it throws the rest of it at you. :D

Find the Felker at Lowes on the East Coast or in our online store.
