Does anyone do most of their shopping online? I'm seriously considering going that route just in case the old knees don't heal in time.
I know about Lowes and HD online, but surely there are better companies for remodelling purposes. I just prefer dealing with companies that others have used and they were satisfied with the service.
John, I hope talking about online companies isn't against forum rules :)

LG,I do alot of shopping on line for some items(tools, personal Hobby type stuff, books etc) I use ebay occassionally. As far as actually ordering product for a Job goes,I gave David Taylor a little business this year but I try to keep most of my purchasing Local.David Helped me get a job so I in turn bought some product and tried to send others his way.
One day i'll send him another Order for product just to keep an active account with him.I will say this,His record of service with me is A+ and thats a tough thing to do when your trying to ship something as far north as I am.He managed to find a Dogsled crew that was going my way though.
Ol Davids quite creative being from Canada and all :D

LG-- let me know what you need-- I've probably got a website saved that you can get it from from plumbing fixtures to bath accessories-- I think I might even have a couple of sites somewhere for cabinets. :) As for tile and materials, I've got several.

Todd and Bill, you guys are so sweet :). I bet John and FF will get jealous :D
I've also bought books from Amazon and BN, but I shy away from Ebay now because I got burned. There was a seller who claimed he was in Florida, and it turned out that he was really operating out of Hong Kong. I had ordered some toys for my nieces and nephews and the things never turned up. It took months to get my money back!
Anyway, I do need stuff for the house Bill, so I'd appreciate you pointing me to a good source.

LG, the percentage of people being burned on Ebay is extremely low considering the volume they do.Watch who you buy from, check thier feedback record and dont deal with anyone who has questionable comments for feedback no matter how much you would like the item.Look around, chances are you can find the same item from another player. It may be higher, but at least your dealing with someone wo has a set of standards.Ebay is what you make of it.Learn how to use it and your chances of getting burned again are unlikely.Ive had some 350+ transactions in 4 years and was beat out of a 4.00 item one time.(the mail may have lost it or they just took the cash) I never ever under any circumstances send cash anymore.I had done it several times for small items under 10.00 but it can be tempting for people to just say"I never recieved your payment" ;)

I'll stick to Pay Pal if I venture on Ebay. I think I'd prefer to just buy the item when they have the "Buy Now" sign rather than bid.
Bill, I'll send you my list soon. Feel free to send me everything on that list since we're so close to Christmas :D
Todd, how have you been feeling lately?
