Did you run short of breakfast libations again John?
"An American biker has set a new record after police say he was clocked tearing along at 205mph.
Samuel Armstrong Tilley (AKA Albert) was on his Honda RC51 when a police pilot in Minnesota timed him covering a quarter-mile stretch of road in 4.39 seconds.
The officer, Al Loney, said the bike was hurtling along faster than his plane.
Tilley, son of sheriff's deputy, was charged with reckless driving, driving without a motorcycle license and speeding - 140mph over the limit.
Police said the 20-year-old was driving alongside a friend when he suddenly hurtled forward.
Officer Loney said: "I was in total disbelief.
"I had to double-check my watch because in 27 years I'd never seen anything move that fast."
Obviosly they haven't been paying attention to Albert when he is on his way to a date with Edna.

In minnesota thats gonna cost him.
Lets see, 130.00 for 10 mph over and 30 bucks for each mile beyond that
so 4030.00 + the reckless is another 1200.00 + 600 for No License.
Thats 5,830 bucks + court costs, lost license, jail time(so lost income) and if he didnt have MC insurance thats another 700.00.
Oh and with that on his record I doubt anybody will insure him for at least 5 years so no driving for 5 years.
I wonder if the thrill was worth the cost :D

I wuz clocked at a little over 155 when I wuz a teen.
It sucked then but made for good stories(5-6 years) until it became an embarassment.
Now the wife tells the story to demonstrate what a moron I can be

I heard about that. I was in Minn. this weekend. Someone said that the Honda people said the bike doesn't go that fast. Wonder who's telling the truth? 205 is extremely fast.
The bike can go that fast, just not stock. It had a few modifications. :)

Scares me. I tried to see what my Buick Rivierra would do out on the Arizona desert years ago. Chickened out a 105. ;)

I was living in Nevada without speed limits when I hit 137 mph a few times. Before that I had to abandon my apartment and leave Texas after my third ticket for over 100 mph. I'm scared of the interstate, 8am and 5pm traffic now. Might be people like I was.
