They were talking about a pickup truck on the radio today that was 200 thousand dollars. Is that the one?

I didn't see a price for it. There's one picture at that website that really makes that thing look like a mutant.

I can't see that thing costing 200K. I don't think a big rig tractor costs that much. Who knows?

It's funny that its GVW is one pound under the specs for a commercial vehicle.

You know what that means then.....not enough cup holders. :)

Yikes, 90 to 100K, 7mpg.
"it can seat five and boosts such creature comforts as a flat screen TVs, DVD players, leather seats, a fold-down bench that can be used as a bed and a satellite radio system.

The company says the truck hauls three times the payload of consumer pickup trucks, is all-wheel drive, uses air brakes and offers towing, dumping and tilt bed capability."

Yeah, perhaps I should get one and put my logo on the side?

Two words: BUSINESS WRITE-OFF :) :yipee:

There's a dealer lot about 10 miles from where I live that has two-- really pretty awsome looking trucks-- perfect for the Tim Taylor type. :D

Yea, Baby! :shades:

They expect to sell about 50-60 units per year.

Way more truck than i would ever need.pretty cool though :)
Now they'll start making larger 5th wheel trailers to match this truck :D
How about a 45 foot 5th wheel with 29 feet of living space and a couple of slideouts and a rear ramped tool storage /office area with 1 slide out (for the wet bar) tucked in behind that baby semi truck.
We're talking the ultimate mobile Tile Shop :D

For the Chevy fans. Saw this rig at the auto show, but crew cab, and a pickup bed. Sweet!

Todd, you know what that truck looks like to me,"a lotta work" :) You know what they say,"it's more important to want what you've got, than to get what you want". :) I've learned the trouble with a nice truck is, you don't want to get out of it! We had an International pickup on the farm in 72 when they still made them, most powerfull truck we ever had!!

Bri, cool looking truck but 1 question,
Where do the tools go???:D

Gas/electric hybrid.........i'd love a full size powerhouse truck that would get me 50 miles to the gallon.I cant believe they still dont make em!!

In less than 40 years we went from the p-47 mustang to an f-15 strike eagle.

Trucks just havent changed much in 40 years other than ride/styling/accessories/safety.Oh and they dont rust out quite as fast!!

If John Q Public was the intended buyer, trust me, they would still be peddling the P-47 Mk 175 :yeah:

Todd,

There have been some performance changes to trucks, take this one for example. Though maybe not quite as fast as the f-15, but at least a step in the right direction.;)

My wife's been looking for a new family car recently and sent me this link to consider. She says it would be good for shopping and driving around town. I'm not completely sold on the color and I think it doesn't have enough cup-holders.

Here is what I drive with the 4.0v-6 at 260hp with a 5 speed auto 4.10 rear end .believe it or not will outrun a dodge sport magnum from 0-75mph.of course it is gearing and tranny that allows this it shifts 4 times ,I have always owned trucks the last toy I had was a 1985 4 banger that I loved, have owned 1996 f-150,1998 f150- 2000gmc and 1993t-100 toy. this new toyota is by far the best truck I have ever owned, including the 96 f150 with chip, dual nas truck exhaust, and 200hp nitrous.I still would take my stock toy over all.http://216.110.64.105/BuildYourToyota/step.asp?Year=2006&Vehicle=Tacoma&sMode=newvehicle&step=2&source=&dealer_code=&zip_code=

Why is that link an ip address instead of a host name? It resolves to a host name of 216-110-64-105.gen.twtelecom.net which doesn't give me a warm fuzzy.

Dave, maybe we should disallow IP numbers in lieu of host names?

I'll never buy another truck without a diesel engine, a truck ain't a truck without one!

That would be a neat trick John. :) Maybe we should just edit them if we see them. ;)
